CAYL and New Balance Introduce the CRV ZIP and SLIDE Silhouette

South Korea-based climbing and outdoor label CAYL, which is short for “Climb As You Love”, has teamed up with New Balance for their first footwear collaboration, offering a comfortable outdoor shoe and an casual slip on option.

The joint collaboration builds upon New Balance Korea’s outdoor-focused CRV lineup, specifically releasing the CRV ZIP and CRV SLIDE models. The CRV ZIP modifies the CRV-COVE sandal/sneaker hybrid base model by covering the Nifco speed lace with an upper shell crafted from CAYL’s very own grid fabric that is used for their popular backback series. Meant for regular outdoor use, the shell upper is held together with an easy on-and-off zip. Meanwhile, the CRV SLIDE is designed for relaxing camp site use or even in the office due to its additional cushion that provides optimal comfort for casual use. Both models keep in line with CAYL’s minimal aesthetic while providing functionality as necessary.

Stay tuned at CAYL’s website for future release information.
