HAVEN Spring/Summer ‘21 Editorial and Interview for GRIND Magazine

HAVEN Spring/Summer ‘21 Editorial and Interview for GRIND Magazine

HAVEN first opened its doors in Edmonton, Canada, in 2006 as a brick-and-mortar store and it has since developed into an established retailer with a thriving in-house brand.

HAVEN took to the streets of Toronto, Canada to highlight pieces from their Spring/Summer ‘21 collection for the latest issue of GRIND mag including their Fatigue Jacket, Recon Hat, Solo Short and Shop Pants. Known for their use of technical materials, we see COOLMAX® Ripstop utilised on shirting and Cordura nylon on luggage accessories. GRIND Magazine caught up with the two founding brothers, Arthur and Daniel Chmielewski to discuss the origins, inspirations, and future of HAVEN.

See a brief excerpt below.

"Living in Canada means putting yourself in a harsh climate that can be called extreme conditions. Winters in Toronto on the east coast are as cold as 30 degrees below freezing, and summers are as hot as in Japan. There are many humid days above 30 degrees Celsius, and both cities are rare in the world, as it rains for half a year to nine months of the year in Vancouver. That's why it's a functional point of view.”
