Sabukaru Online Highlights the Latest CCP Pieces in 'Tokyo Underground Utility' Editorial
The Tokyo-based magazine, Sabukaru Online, continues to demonstrate its editorial prowess in its latest feature that drafts in CCP - Crazy Character Print - to tell the story of the brands vision and highlight pieces from its latest collection.
CCP, a succinct abbreviation of Crazy Character Print, was started in 1996 by Tsutomu Kijima, previously of cult-label Hysteric Glamour. Back in 1996, each member of the CCP team was actively engaged in Tokyo’s rave culture so they would spend their weekends dancing all night to trance and techno, but they needed a uniform to go along with it. Around this time, right before Tokyo’s bicycle culture boomed, Kijima ditched his car and opted for two wheels instead of four; later realising that he needed city-wear that was appropriate for commuting by bike. In the last 25 years, CCP hasn’t forgotten its roots and continues to develop apparel with the Tokyo cyclist in mind and is now more focused than ever to bridge the gap between technical clothing and sustainable fabrics. One of the featured pieces in the editorial is CCP’s ‘Big Hood Tech’ jacket which is made using a 4-way stretch water-repellent material and features a mobile phone pocket and side pocket with a concealable zipper so you can secure your belongings with peace of mind.
In the meantime, catch a snippet of the interview with the CCP team below. To read the full feature head over to Sabukaru Online.
