NICENESS' Spring/Summer '22 & Autumn/Winter '22 Collection 'Journey To Margate'
Once again playing with the theme of ‘Journey’ for the concept of their editorial work, NICENESS has unveiled its Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter ‘22 collections at once.
Taking to the British seaside town of Margate, Kent, NICENESS looks back to the 1960s for a bounty of inspiration in the aforementioned collections, expressing the signature style of the youth at the time. Littered throughout Margate’s streets is an abundance of vintage clothing and antique shops serving as a constant reminder of the 60s, a time when British subcultures were emerging as an offshoot of a burgeoning fashion scene.
The lookbook features a plethora of diverse pieces that mirror different styles from the 1960s with A/W looking to psychedelia and S/S borrowing from ethnic tastes from various countries and regions. Covering base on everything from aviator flight trousers, printed short sleeve shirts, quilted liner-style jackets and boxy t-shirts, the collections are cohesive and indicative of a place in time.
