nonnative and UNDERCOVER collaborate for a second time - the first being this time last year - on their united ‘OZISM’ collection.
While their design work sits at odds with one another, nonnative and UNDERCOVER have come together to pay homage to their respect for Japanese aesthetics, history and backgrounds, as well as their sympathies to the legendary filmmaker, Yasujirō Ozu.
For their Autumn/Winter ‘23 collection, ‘OZISM’ continues to evolve as they introduce Brown as an alternative colourway alongside Navy and Black, reflecting an earthier side to the garments and footwear. In total, there are 10 styles of apparel, accessories and footwear on offer, including variations of the Monk Jacket, Walker Easy Pants, Monk L/S Tee, Monk Crew Pullover, Monk Neck Warmer, Monk Jet Cap and Guide Boots.
The Monk Jacket is said to be one of the inspiring silhouettes of the collection, taking on the form of a long coat, workwear-style jacket and puff jacket with different fabrications to choose from, including GORE-TEX Infinium and POLARTEC WINDPRO. Overall, the premise of the capsule is to provide a capsule wardrobe that provides the necessary tools to navigate the Autumn/Winter season and the elements associated with this time of year.
