meanswhile x FOSS
Today, consumers are no longer satisfied with performance garments solely crafted from functional fabrics. Consequently, the challenge posed to the likes of FOSS and meanswhile lies in developing all-weather products that cater to diverse scenarios in daily life, presenting an intriguing avenue for product exploration.
Japanese outdoor brands epitomise this stylistic realm, with meanswhile standing out for their commitment to "clothing as a tool." Designer Naohiro Fujisaki consistently explores various possibilities within the realm of clothing, aligning closely with FOSS’s vision for product exploration that seamlessly blends practical functionality with aesthetics.
In a collaborative venture, FOSS has partnered with meanswhile to unveil a joint capsule series for 2024. This collection blurs the lines between urban and natural environments, liberating wearers from the constraints imposed by traditional clothing.
Themed around "continuous exploration," the series integrates meanswhile's classic styles, offering a capsule collection that seamlessly combines function and style. The exploration of this theme involves the adept use of Dyneema®-produced Composite Fabric known for its lightweight and waterproof properties.
The result is a jacket, bag and a pair of bottoms that are designed to function in all conditions, whether you find yourself cycling around town in the rain or hanging out with friends.
The series will be released from 12 FOSS stores on the 13th of January, 2024.
