HAVEN Goes Behind the Scenes at the GORE-TEX Testing Facility
This year, HAVEN was invited by the innovative textile producer, GORE-TEX, to visit its testing facility in Elkton, Maryland, where they discovered first-hand the meticulous testing process that goes into the garments that use the technology.
To ensure that its products are fit for purpose in challenging conditions, GORE-TEX introduced its ‘Guaranteed to Keep You Dry’ slogan, in 1989, which means that they must uphold rigorous standards. At the testing facility, some of the measures include air permeability, cold weather performance, comfort and, most importantly, the ‘Rain Room’ which simulates natural conditions. HAVEN uses GORE-TEX across its Autumn/Winter ‘23 collection, including in its latest collaboration with Clarks Originals on the Weaver, as well as on many outerwear, bottoms and headwear styles.
