A Closer Look at sacai x 'Interstellar' Autumn/Winter '23
Taking a leaf out of UNDERCOVER’s book when it comes to re-appropriating film material, sacai has tapped Christopher Nolan’s 2014 film, Interstellar, for a series of apparel pieces.
Forming part of sacai’s wider Autumn/Winter ‘23 collection, portions of the range were heavily inspired by the 2014 sci-fi project. As a nod to the film, some of the movie’s motifs serve as key graphics for Chitose Abe’s collection, from Murph’s bookcase to morse code signals, which find themselves printed upon down jackets, puffer jackets, dresses, varsity jackets, headwear, bottoms and knitwear.
