Goldwin Uses Spiber’s Brewed Protein™ in its Autumn/Winter ‘23 Collection

Over the course of 8 years, Goldwin has been working on the joint development of Brewed Protein™ fibers - a structural protein material for apparel applications - with Spiber, a Japanese biotech company.

As innovators in their respective fields, it has allowed them to collectively innovate further with regard to fabric technology and how its applications can be used in relation to technical clothing. While Goldwin has used Brewed Protein™ fibers before, the products have only been released in limited quantities. But, for Autumn/Winter ‘23, they have released a nine-piece collection using it, including a 3L Shell Jacket, 3L Mac Coat, 3L Tapered Pants, Denim Pants and Down Shirt, to name a few.

To celebrate the collection, there will be a pop-up in London where you will be able to see the nine garments in person. There will also be a screening of a short film covering four themes - Imagine, Believe, Community and Creation - which explores the concept of Regenerative Circle.
