CCP and sabukaru Release the Commuting Jacket
The Japan-based media collective sabukaru has presented one of its first apparel collaborations for Autumn, enlisting CCP, a commuter-oriented label founded by Tsutomu Kijima.
CCP and sabukaru share a long-standing relationship built on mutual respect and a deep admiration for one another. It has since flourished into apparel projects, whereby the Japanese publication leaves its revered touch on staple CCP silhouettes.
For Autumn, sabukaru selected the Commuting Jacket as a blank slate to work on and readjust our perception of what commuting is and what it looks like. Central to this method of transport is the need and desire to stay sheltered from the elements, achieved by a waterproof nylon exterior and adjustable storm hood. sabukaru enlisted the guise of French photographer Tom Grainer to showcase its versatility outside of just cycling, taking the Commuting Jacket to the beach, workshop and football stadium.
