SATISFY Teases its First In-House Footwear Silhouette 'TheROCKER'
Putting aside its past collaborations with norda, HOKA and Crocs, SATISFY has been quietly developing its in-house footwear programme, which, for now, comprises ‘TheROCKERTM’, a running shoe engineered for those traversing multiple terrains.
The move comes since SATISFY appointed Jean-Marc Djian, who has previously worked at The North Face and Amer Sports, the parent company of Salomon and arc’teryx, as VP of Footwear to oversee such projects to ensure they carry the same design language.
Taking a tech-led approach to the programme, the Parisian label, revered for its aesthetic-performance wear, infuses the footwear style with the same vigour as its apparel output. The silhouette is integrated with several new technologies, some of which have been developed in-house, including the TuneLug Outsole, Euforia Super Foam, 3D-Printed Midsole, and Rippy 66 Monomesh Upper. Using these ensures that TheROCKER is lightweight yet capable of handling on and off-road surfaces. We are yet to see a full preview of the shoe, but these technical developments set a precedent.
