OUR LEGACY WORK SHOP Re-Works ROA's 'Andreas' Hiking Boot
Coming together for the third time, OUR LEGACY WORK SHOP and ROA communicate their shared design language using the latter’s ‘Andreas’ silhouette.
This collaboration is about the ‘Andreas’, an elevated take on a hiking-inspired boot central to ROA’s hybrid approach to landscapes. In terms of silhouette and colourway, the pair proposes two variants of the Andreas in black and brown tanned leather, harking back to ROA's earliest offering. The shoe has been crafted using vachetta leather (a tough and hard-wearing material) sourced from scraps from Swedish tannery Tärnsjö Garveri and finished using traditional vegetable tanning methods. Additionally, the leather has not been artificially manipulated, leaving the original damage and wear to the product intact, achieving a beautiful patina. This collaborative model is equipped with a Vibram Megagrip sole for increased traction in urban and outdoor settings, as well as a rubber-coated toe cap.
