New Balance's TOKYO DESIGN STUDIO Unveils Two Colourways of its Niobium Concept 3

New Balance’s TOKYO DESIGN STUDIO, which is responsible for innovative footwear concepts, has revealed two new colourways of its Niobium Concept 3 model.

This modular concept, known as the "TDS Niobium Concept 3", is designed to seamlessly transition between urban and snow resort environments without the need for multiple pairs of shoes to fulfil different roles. Drawing inspiration from an off-road trail running silhouette from the 1990s, the N_C3 incorporates a sole unit characterised by a wide, flat sole shape for superior stability. In the midsole, there is a lightweight and sturdy material called ‘RollBar’ that helps to counter overpronation. The upper features a dual-layer construction with an outer shell made using the waterproof and breathable eVent material and an inner boot crafted from lightweight Primaloft insulation, which provides excellent warmth and heat retention. The two resulting colourways include Black/Purple and Green/Blue.
