Miu Miu Channels Vintage Running Shoes in New Balance 530 Collaboration
While we may have seen the last of Miu Miu and New Balance’s 574, we haven’t seen the last trainer collaboration from them yet.
Teased during Miu Miu’s Spring/Summer ‘24 show, we caught a glimpse of a forthcoming footwear project with New Balance tackling the 530 and re-working it in line with its unique design language. The result is the 530 SL which sees Miu Miu ditch New Balance’s ABZORB-infused sole in favour of an outsole that closely resembles that of a running flat from years gone by. The upper is made using a combination of suede and mesh overlays with subtle Miu Miu and New Balance branding wherever needed without being overbearing.
From what we have seen so far, there are two confirmed colourways - beige and brown - and a third one - white - which is exclusive to Miu Miu’s Aoyama flagship store.
