For Spring/Summer ‘24, eye_C has partnered with PACKER to showcase its seasonal offerings from esteemed designers and brands from their arsenal, including Engineered Garments, DAIWA PIER39, JUNYA WATANABE MAN and COMME des GARÇONS HOMME.

Founded in 1907, PACKER is one of the industry’s longest-standing boutiques which houses a carefully curated selection of footwear, apparel and accessories. Today, PACKER is recognised for its incomparable heritage, thoughtful curation of products and proven track record of forward-thinking collaborations with industry namesakes.

COMME des GARÇONS HOMME

Highlighting COMME des GARÇONS HOMME’s ability to subvert seemingly ordinary garments like shirts and vests, featured styles that follow this narrative include the Striped Shirt, Check Insert Nylon Vest and PORTER 3-Layer Messenger Bag. Bearing a ‘Made in Japan’ label, a symbol of refined craftsmanship, the garments are fitted with camouflage motifs, striped patterns and arm pockets, to name some details.

JUNYA WATANABE MAN

JUNYA WATANABE MAN Spring/Summer ‘24 collaborations with C.P. Company and Stussy are the focus of this outfit, two honest pairings defined by each party’s unique approach to design. As a result, featured styles include the Hooded Vest, Knit Crewneck Sweater and Nylon Goggle Fishtail Parka, three refined silhouettes that seamlessly work with one another or on their own.

COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS

Rei Kawakubo’s COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS label is consistently experimenting with archetypal clothing silhouettes and this instance sees her playing with a Single-Breasted Coat, Oxford Shirt and black Suit Trousers - all conventional items that are far removed from our preconceptions. Adjustments to the fit come as standard but the Trompe L'Oeil print on the front and back of the jacket is truly a work of art, a reflection of Kawakubo’s attention to detail.

DAIWA PIER39

Possessing the remarkable ability to bring fishing-inspired design into a modern context, DAIWA PIER 39’s garments are always a sight to behold. The case is no truer for its Tech Reversible Paramine Jacket and Tech Fishing N-2B Jacket which feature a bevy of functional attributes, such as D-ring clips for fastening loose objects and an assortment of pockets of all sizes to store your belongings.

Engineered Garments

As has been the case for Daiki Suzuki’s Engineered Garments label since 2002, its seasonal releases are more like regular software updates, often building upon existing silhouettes that are tweaked to align with the archetypal conditions for that time. Selected from PACKER’s offering of Engineered Garments, the Trucker Jacket and 19th Century BD Shirt are made using lightweight seasonal fabrics that allow for easy breathability.
