Studio Nicholson and Paraboot Announce their Debut Collaboration
Off the back of the release of its collaboration with ASICS, Studio Nicholson has announced it will be partnering with the French shoemakers, Paraboot, to further its footwear programme.
With a longstanding back-and-forth relationship with Japan, Studio Nicholson’s Creative Director, Nike Wakeman, drew inspiration for the capsule from wandering the quiet, tree-lined streets of Aoyama in Tokyo, last March.
The resulting summer-ready capsule carefully considers fabrication, functionality and meticulous craftsmanship, three pillars that are integral to Studio Nicholson’s design language. The reworked ‘Malibu’ moccasins, handcrafted in Spain, fuse Studio Nicholson’s fabric expertise with Paraboot’s manufacturing heritage to arrive in a choice of white leather or tan nubuck suede. The moccasin is constructed using Norwegian welt stitching and the upper comprises a signature boat-shoe piped seam, durable leather laces and a rounded last. In addition, they are equipped with genuine French rubber soles which adds durability and underfoot comfort.
