A Closer Look at MHL.'s 'Wa-Shi Cotton' Collection
MHL. has proposed a collection of men’s and women’s clothing made using an unusual combination of washi, a traditional Japanese material, and cotton.
While paper isn’t usually blended with cotton for clothing, washi boasts a unique texture similar to linen but with a different look and feel, so it is often appealing to brands looking for a less resource-intensive material. The capsule comprises zip-up blouson jackets, stand-collar shirts, socks, t-shirts and bottoms. Thanks to the dyeing of the fabric, colours such as sage green, indigo, and ochre are available in abundance alongside natural tones.
