nonnative is preparing for cooler conditions with the release of its Autumn/Winter ‘24 lookbook.

For Autumn/Winter ‘24, nonnative envision themselves embarking on a journey that escapes the mundanity of everyday life, putting themselves in unfamiliar cities and amongst nature to evoke a sense of unfiltered adventure.

Drawing inspiration from outdoor, military and workwear uniforms, each garment is imbued with functionalities ideal for active pursuits without compromising on aesthetics. Alongside nonnative’s usual array of silhouettes, the Japanese label has introduced several new styles including jackets, vests and relaxed fit pants, as well as a fresh perspective on traditional leather items. In addition, flight jackets, knitwear, denim trucker jackets and longer coats all form part of the range.

To replicate the feeling of a ‘journey’, nonnative expresses this through dyeing techniques and dry fabrics like corduroy, duck canvas and brushed wool. In line with the season, the primary colour scheme is dominated by brown, khaki and black with some earthy orange tones thrown in.
