Gathering Textiles Furthers its Study of Textiles in Second Apparel Capsule
Gathering Textiles is an independent design project that has long been at the forefront of documenting textile artisans across Asia. Building upon previous capsules, Gathering is preparing to release ‘Volume II’, its first complete collection comprising apparel and accessories that incorporate the studio’s textile know-how.
“We’ve journeyed through villages and farmlands, collaborating with master dyers, weavers, and makers who infuse life into every piece,” says Haider Saleem, Founder and Creative Director of Gathering Textiles. “Volume II is not just the beginning of a series of collections but the starting point of a recurring theme, ‘for those who love textiles.’”
The collection highlights Gathering’s extensive dedication to studying textiles and artisanal methods, preserving the essence of handcrafted garments and the enduring beauty of traditional methods. Featuring apparel and accessories, it is a limited-edition series of bottoms, shirts, jackets, bags, tunics, and more. Selected pieces are finished by hand with custom hardware and woven labels.
