Helly Hansen Dives into Converse's Archives to Tackle the Jack Purcell 'WINDJAMMER'
In their latest collaboration, Helly Hansen Japan and Converse take on the Jack Purcell ‘WINDJAMMER’, a silhouette introduced in 1973. This iconic model has informed style for 50 years and continues to do so.
Plucked from Converse’s rich archive, this collaborative rendition of the Jack Purcell ‘WINDJAMMER’ celebrates Helly Hansen and Converse’s shared roots and love of maritime culture. The ‘WINDJAMMER’ features a water-repellent canvas on the upper to keep moisture out and a wave-slit outsole that provides a better footing on wet surfaces, giving the wearer the option to wear them aboard. The model arrives in a bespoke tonal ivory colourway that extends from the upper to the midsole. Additional features include a rubber toe guard, a bespoke foam insole made using urethane and rubber sponge for increased cushioning, and a printed logo symbolising two ships at sea. The WINDJAMMER comes with two sets of laces - tonal and reflective.
