yoshiokubo unveiled its Autumn/Winter ‘25 collection during Tokyo Fashion Week, with a carnival forming the backdrop, a seemingly polar environment for the clothing to exist in.
Throughout the collection, yoshiokubo explores militaristic and formal influences, distilling them through a vibrant yet tasteful lens that seems at home with the bright lights of the show’s fairground. Traditional overcoats are reinterpreted to include contrast panelling and modular pocket systems; shirting arrives with exaggerated ruching on the sleeves; cropped military jackets feature satin dual-layer outer skins; and asymmetric plackets are commonplace, whether secured by zippers or button toggles.
