Eighteen East and Mephisto Unite to Create the Break Spectrum
Combining the best elements of the ‘Rainbow’ and ‘Break’ silhouettes, Eighteen East and Mephisto pick up where they left off with the ‘Break Spectrum’.
Building upon their previous match-ups, which have seen Eighteen East’s director, Antonio Ciongoli, communicate his adoration for Mephisto footwear, the ‘Break Spectrum’ is the latest style to come out of their partnership. Marrying the best elements of Mephisto’s ‘Rainbow’ and ‘Break’ silhouettes, the ‘Break Spectrum’, expertly crafted in France from Italian full-grain pebbled leather and rough-cut suede, combines the unlined construction and signature side stitching of the Rainbow with the rugged outsole and detailing of the Break. Finishing touches applied to the Break Spectrum include brass D-ring eyelets with a dual-lacing system, Mephisto’s SOFT-AIR shock-reducing midsole, padded tongue, a fully resolable natural rubber outsole, and fully unlined construction.
