HUMIS Autumn/Winter 2018
HUMIS takes in influences from both photography and military to create an Autumn/Winter 18 collection that aims to express the synergy between both subjects.
Takahumi Nohara, the label's founder, is using this season to express his interest in the mysterious background of Robert Capa, a war photographer whose body of work was created by two elusive figures, Endre Friedman and Gerda Taro. The pieces are heavily influenced by the military aesthetic, borrowing the iconic dot camo and classic olive drab. Every piece of outerwear and a few of the pullover pieces feature a large number of pockets, adding a level of utility that is reminiscent of photographer vests.
