UNDERCOVER Autumn/Winter '19
UNDERCOVER’s graphic homages return once again with yet another set piece inspired by the genius world building of Stanley Kubrick. While the previous collection centered on the last frontier of 2001: A Space Odyssey, AW19 tackles the oddities of A Clockwork Orange.
Starting off with quite a regal feel — calling back to the suave demeanor and visage of the film title’s main misanthrope — hats, textured robes, and coats elevate a look far from the norm. Stretching the concept of a comfort zone that much further than before, all-over graphic plays come once again along a series of contemporary styles, adorning coaches jackets, pullover hoodies, and knits with imagery found throughout the 2 hour and 17 minute run-time. Covering all bases of a winter wardrobe in typical UC fashion, the label has also teased out a few accompanying collaborations, including a set of Nike silhouettes and another Eastpak backpack.
