Junya Watanabe presents classic, everyday offerings at Paris Fashion Week for the COMME des GARÇONS JUNYA WATANABE MAN Autumn/Winter '19 season.
The collection features a plethora of casual pieces while focusing on high-quality tailoring and the use of various fabrics. Field jackets, button up suit jackets, and varsity jackets often have sleeves and bodies constructed with contrasting materials such padded down, army surplus fabrics, and bandana-like fabrics. The classic blue button up shirt with minimal stripe or checkered patterns is paired with these jackets to give a work-casual look. Meanwhile, bottoms are highlighted by selvedge denim in raw and vintage washed forms along with tweed and corduroy trousers. Watanabe also previewed his latest collaboration with New Balance among others that’ll release alongside the collection later this year.
