UNIVERSAL PRODUCTS, the Japanese label started at Nakameguro's boutique shop 1LDK, has consistently produced high-quality garments since 2009. With a goal of incorporating tastes such as work, military, and sports while not compromising on fabrics, patterns and sewing, UNIVERSAL PRODUCTS celebrates its 10th anniversary with its Autumn/Winter ‘19 collection creating exactly what the label’s name sought after: universal products.
The latest collection is filled with everyday staples, warm wool layers, and functional outerwear pieces, perfect for the upcoming colder weathers. Tops consist of minimally branded essentials such as tees, classic pattern button ups, and crewneck sweaters in bold, workwear-inspired colorways including orange, khaki, and brown. Meanwhile, trousers opt for baggier, relaxed fits with straight-legged chinos, pleated pants, and their deconstructed take on denim. Outerwear is clearly inspired by urbanwear with parkas, coats, and field jackets featuring multiple chest pockets and relaxed fits for comfort and functionality.
