sacai Refines the Classic Gramicci Trouser for Spring/Summer '20
Revealed during their last runway show, the many sacai collaborations -- new Nike LDWaffles included -- have slowly started to make their way to the forefront. Among them, with a release slated for only a few days away, Gramicci crafted a strong breadth of versatile staples, working well with Chitose Abe to further refine the wide assortment of trousers for which they’ve become well known.
No stranger to the Japanese fashion scene, with plenty of partnerships prior with names equally as touted, the California-based lifestyle label has become somewhat of an institution, doing well to dress up their running man figurehead, the signature logo that now arrives luxe in gold backing. Of a total seven pieces there are only two distinct styles -- shorts and joggers -- though their finer details, from fabrications to trim, separate far apart save for on the aforementioned hardware. Denim, black-dressed textiles, wool-adorned pairs, simple khakis, and quite a few more find their way in, bearing colorful markings at their elastic waist and hem for an aesthetic in complement to Abe’s Spring/Summer ‘20 aesthetics.
