FACCIES Autumn/Winter '19
Western-wear purveyor FACCIES continues its set of inspired garments with AW19 being one of its most adventurous yet.
While a few articles stick close to the template of the cowboy-filled era, quite a few run rampant with eccentric ornaments, going as far as crafting Type 3 truckers in wool uppers and colorful contrast seams. Mohair cardigans, in their alluring hairy texture, find themselves arriving in various alternatives: some featuring lavish torso embroidery, some with elongated bodies and Aztec prints, and some of tonal animal patterns. Wide cuts fill the collection to its brim, modifying the silhouettes of Rockabilly jackets, raw hem blazers, draping blanket-like shawls, and the diverse range of overcoats. As a lovely homage to one of the current culture’s most impactful style subgenre, the Japanese label comes closer and closer to outdoing its muse.
