Silver Mag Interviews Tetsu Nishiyama about WTAPS' "MILL" Series
Japanese based editorial magazine Silver Mag sat down with WTAPS’ director Tetsu Nishiyama, also known as “Tet”, for a discussion regarding their latest “MILL” collection.
The “MILL” collection was a rebuild of 6 staple uniform pieces in the WTAPS world, which includes the M-65 jacket and pants, the jungle top and bottow as well as the BDU setup. Tet talks about returning to his roots of uniform garments, which were the first items manufactured by WTAPS. His military inspirations are visibly evident through the strictly olive and black colorways, but Tet describes that he did not want to create replica vintage uniforms. Rather, he updates the classic silhouettes with unique materials and silhouettes as well as focusing on the industrial design through original buttons and accessories.
