stein Autumn/Winter '19

Burgeoning label stein continues its refined tailoring well into AW19, defining a sartorial vision wrapped in a blanket of brooding undertones.

What ensues is a range of heavily monochrome palettes with subtle patterns alluring the eye against backdrops of grey wools and deep blacks. Masculine pieces, such as blazers and large lapel overcoats, are fit into a range quite overtly unisex, with a mix of models sporting oversized looks across all garment categories. Sweaters and various accompanying outerwear are simplistic though structured loose and meant to drape; sleeves elongate past the arms with hems often featuring a slight bell shape. Distressing accents ornament the weaves of thick knits sweaters while v-necks accentuate the neckline in a deeper than cavernous styling. Tackling both trending utilitarianism — in its layered multipockets vests and much more — while refining a set of contemporary pieces, stein’s latest, themed “BETWEEN DESTRUCTION AND ART,” is a quite fitting entry into the forthcoming season.
