KAPITAL Autumn/Winter '19 Vol. 2

KAPITAL Autumn/Winter '19 Vol. 2

KAPITAL’s latest AW19 eccentrics is ripe with maximal patterns, patchworked fabrications, and comically oversized silhouettes, wrapping up neatly in a package that balances on the many motifs laid down throughout the years. In compliment to the men’s set, this women’s collection is a display of their own brand of femininity.

Dresses conform to no ideal, covering up in deep earth tones with accents billowing in a workwear essence. Trousers, which loosely fit into a military aesthetic, arrive cinched at various points for a playful, balloon silhouette. Quilted down vests, in various contrasting variants, are bulbous in their individual padding with amplified textures seeing to the uppers of reframed trucker jackets, blanket-like shawls, and discolored liner jackets — a piece that subverts expectations further in its alien-shaped hood. Traditional outfits in sportswear also find a place here, though with their varsity bomber constructions left colorblocked along their left to right chest and even more on their respective sleeves; cardigans, in the same retro styling (complete with enlarged “P” appliques), sport deep brown wools in a plaid that clashes yet pairs perfectly with coinciding patterns.

Be sure to grab a detailed look at KAPITAL’s Vol.2 issue for Autumn/Winter ‘19 and find the full expanse of imagery on their site. If you haven’t quite gotten enough, you can grab a peek at the men’s range as well.
