TAKAHIROMIYASHITA The Soloist. Spring/Summer '20
TAKAHIROMIYASHITA The Soloist., often associated with a rebellious, punk-vibe, put on display a well-balanced runway show for its Spring/Summer 2020 collection at Paris Fashion Week.
Aptly entitled “Duet”, the latest showcase features a perfect blend of white and black, patterned yet minimal, and formal yet punk. Models were dressed in slim-fitting, panelled blazer jackets and a plethora of accessories while sporting long john-like undergarments for bottoms, a display of Miyashita’s expression of his current personal style. Workwear uniforms are just one of many influential references manifested through jockey uniforms, black felt fireman hats, and police. Meanwhile, loud patterns are still a staple in the collection with text graphics completely covering outfits from head to toe. Miyashita continues his collaboration run with another cream colorway of the chunky '90s basketball classic ERX model alongside a new unnamed model.
