Kohei Nishimura’s label Digawel remains committed to elevating daily garments by fusing high quality, Japanese production with one-of-a-kind textiles and designs. However, their Spring/Summer ‘20 collection goes contrary to familiar bright colorways as it opts for a muted palette and focuses on texture in their ominous theme of “expression(l)ess”.
The collection is the perfect balance of lightweight, functional outerwear and everyday staples. All-white transparent zip-up blousons and button-up shirts are paired with tank tops for the perfect set of Summer layers while textured field jackets and denim outerwear provide protection from the breezy conditions. Various iterations of the blazer jacket are on display with raw edges, boxy shoulders, and cross-body tie elements that create unique shape. Meanwhile, bottoms come in multiple forms with pleated pants for more formal settings and technical drawstring trousers for the outdoor activities.
The Spring/Summer ‘20 collection will be available for purchasing starting January 17 at their online shop.
