nonnative x WILD THINGS 'The Explorer Puff Jumper "Denali" Nylon Weather’

Throughout the Autumn/Winter ‘20 season, nonnative has been consistently delivering collaborative goods with the likes of New Balance, Gramicci and Asics - covering the bases of footwear and bottoms. Now, joining the roster is WILD THINGS, the New Hampshire-founded brand that began its journey as a supplier of lightweight alpine gear, but has since become recognisable as a supplier to the US Army for their ECWCS - Extreme Cold Weather Clothing System.

Working in unison for the fourth time, the pair looked to WILD THINGS’ ‘Denali’ model which has undergone very few changes since its introduction in 1983 and sought to make adjustments to it that would increase its performance in the urban environment. With nonnative playing a crucial role throughout the process, they helped to tweak the silhouette and functional details of the garment, lending a familiar touch. Boasting a thorough combination of technical fabrics, firstly, the material used is GORE-TEX 3-Layer - the industry gold standard - which helps to ward off the rain and wind, as well as being exceptionally breathable. To further heighten the jackets weatherproofing, it utilises a PFC-free DWR treating which, as well as being free of toxic chemicals, increases the durability of the outer fabric, keeping the wearer protected for an extended period of time. Bolstering the technical performance of the ‘Denali’, the pair opted for a CLIMASHIELD® batting - the layer of insulation between fabrics - which features properties such as high heat-retention, durability and is lightweight. Finally, the lining is quilted using DICROS® DNA LIGHT - a lightweight and insulating material that has a luxurious feel. On the front you’ll find two spacious pockets that are zip-fastened and tonal ‘Wild Things’ embroidery on the chest, with reflective GORE-TEX branding on the cuff. It comes in three colourways: navy, olive and black. Made by skilled Japanese craftsmen, this storm-clad is fully equipped to see you through rain, wind, snow and hail, nothing short of what you’d expect from both brands.

It will be exclusively available from Vendor and COVERCHORD on the 26th of December.
