nonnative and ASICS SportStyle Teams Up on the GEL-YETI HI GT-X "Clay" Silhouette

Coming together for the second time since their inaugural collaboration in 2018, nonnative and ASICS have developed a GORE-TEX clad GEL-YETI TOKYO HI G-TX.

With its sights set on bridging the gap between sporting activities and day-to-day life, ASICS SportStyle develops silhouettes that can be worn without compromise. Made in collaboration with Japanese label nonnative, the GEL-YETI TOKYO HI G-TX is rooted in trail-running history despite its similarities with military footwear, but has made a transition to the streets in the last 15 years as a style icon. The upper is made of the finest soft and supple suede and is equipped with GORE-TEX technology which vastly improves waterproofing and breathability, two essential properties when it comes to footwear. A unique lacing system is held into place by metallic eyelets that are reminiscent of outdoors hiking boots, but hold their place on this lifestyle hybrid as they allow the wearer to adjust the opening. Finished off with collaborative branding throughout with nonnative embossed on the heel and ASICS and GORE-TEX plastered on the tongue. Colour palettes are kept tonal in many aspects with the choice of either sand or black, and the addition of metallic hardware and a deep-lugged sole add an aggressive tone.

Check out a detailed look below and keep an eye on stockists such as HAVEN, End Clothing and COVERCHORD for its release on 19th of December.
