Ryo Takashima Spring/Summer '20
Made with attention to quality, Ryo Takashima’s eponymous label presents their current Spring/Summer ‘20 range. Versatile staples, seasonally universal palettes, and a slew of Japan-made garments take the helm, further fleshing out the label’s minimal aesthetic.
Though cohesive all in all, the range of offerings approach the classics with a pleasantly ill-defined inspiration, as formal blazers sit next to cinched joggers and even utility vests. The latter, which layers atop track tops, trenches, and the like, dresses up in a light tan as well as a faded navy, connecting to the rest of the adjacent standouts in palette alone. But while it draws from seemingly opposite styles, it blends well among the more technical fabrications, hem and waist detailings, and the more basic hoodies who depart from the formula by way of side slits. Elsewhere, overcoats appropriate the timeless, collared shirting arrives in cropped and standard varieties, and long-sleeve tops come complete with a relaxed fit.
