KIIT Autumn/Winter 2020

KIIT Autumn/Winter 2020

From vintage buyer to director/designer, KIIT’s Yujiro Takeda has effectively turned his relaxed lifestyle tangible as he continues to craft a vast range of comfortable essentials. Autumn/Winter ‘20, imbued with a seasonally appropriate palette of earth tones and neutrals, refines not only tailoring but also a few mountaineering-inspired outerwear pieces.

Refitting for the everyday, the latter expands into a territory of tan and light ivory constructions, each with a nylon exterior made warm by way of down fill. Puffy anoraks and zippered parkas expand the variety, while equally insulated liner jackets and fleece blousons stand adjacent. Moreover, technical parkas arrive replete with wide, shrouding hoods, protective collars, and enduring, resistant fabrications, opposing that of the much more cozy hooded poncho.  Coats and blazers then absorb smarter design elements, though while their shape is unarguably timeless, their fit is oversized in honor of the collection’s unspoken themes. Elsewhere, loose sweatshirts act as accenting underlayers -- adding a pop of pink when needed -- while knitwear and a slate of collared shirting further the label’s innate versatility.
