THE RERACS Autumn/Winter '20 Men
Inspired by some of the greats, THE RERACS designer Naomi Kurahashi has grown a very obvious passion for tailoring and timeless silhouettes, with many of her collections preferring to refine the essentials to her own standards. The menswear component of her forthcoming Autumn/Winter ‘20 range does exactly that with little detours, though the few that take place simply display her control over parallel forms.
Off the beaten path, Kurahashi has taken a quick interest in mountaineering, blossoming its reach with a string of monochromatic iterations. The classic color blocked mountain parka as well as a few lengthened variants flooded the runway with hues far from the retro sportswear mold with which they’re associated; instead, blacks predominately cover the technical fabrications and whites the accents just above. Elsewhere, as a continuation of the Japanese label’s core mission, smarter staples arrive, performing with coats of all styles, trousers of varying width, and shirting of simple construction yet assuredly solid quality. But despite being simple at quick glance, the offerings strike a large diversity as they bring two pocket blousons, turtle necks, basic tees, and much, much more.
