BEAMS PLUS Autumn/Winter '20
In the pursuit of paying further respect to classic icons of American style, Beams Plus Autumn/Winter ‘20 collection fuses ever-changing trends with the established.
With unfinished business on the cards, Beams Plus carries through the previous season’s theme, ‘Swingman’, to continue developing styles with the modern male in mind. The pillars of inspiration are familiar to followers of their work: collegiate, workwear, military, outdoors and a slew of other styles, including the infamous ‘Ivy’. Inspired by a vintage garment - made from material scraps - found on the outskirts of Boston, jackets, vests and trousers are constructed using a patchwork-printed corduroy fabric. As well as the aforementioned, vintage flannels, Jacquard sweaters and geometric print jackets are proof of Beams Plus commitment to mixing various fabrics, patterns and textures. One of the seasons crowning statement pieces is the ‘Expedition Down Parka’, their homage to the iconic puffer that is entrenched in the culture. It’s been made using a windproof and waterproof fabric and cut to a modern and sleek fit which is ideal for city life, as well as weekends in nature.
