Opting out of fashion’s conventional seasonal cycle, nonnative is preparing to launch its 38th collection, a mix of functional silhouettes and everyday wear items with elements for both Winter and Spring seasons.
The 38th collection purposefully aligns with the actual temperatures and conditions of the moment rather than designing for seasons. nonnative’s approach is a reflection of the illogical fashion calendar where Winter jackets are delivered before Summer while lightweight outdoor wear is on shelves when its snowing. Despite this, nonnative’s latest release remains distinctly nonnative with high performance technical fabrics such as GORE-TEX, POLARTEC Wind Pro, CLIMASHEILD and Pliantex. Padded bomber jackets and quilted outerwear are offered with New Zealand wool outerwear and super soft next-to-skin merino wool pieces for the cold-weather protection. Versatility is central to the collection as showcased by their high pile fleece removable jacket liners also functioning as stand-alone outerwear. Meanwhile, casual Dweller Jeans and collarless plaid shirts act as everyday pieces that can be worn on the warmer days. nonnative’s upcoming footwear collaborations with New Balance, Converse and Asics are also on display.
