Rezet Highlights adidas Originals' 'Vegan' Superstar in Nature-Themed Editorial
With ambitions of becoming a more sustainable sportswear brand, adidas Originals ‘Vegan’ Superstar channels the silhouettes original DNA without the environmental and ethical impact.
Following suit of adidas’ ‘Our Icons Go Vegan’ campaign, it was a matter of time before the Superstar was re-worked in a more conscientious, modern way. The model takes centre stage in Rezets latest editorial that speaks on the importance and beauty of nature by placing a living plant wall as a backdrop. The editorial was further supported by earth-toned styling from local and environmentally-conscious brands such as Soulland and Flatlist Eyewear. The construction of the shoe is relatively uncomplicated thanks to a recycled polyester upper with PU coating and a sole of recycled rubber. The price, comfort and appearance are nearly identical to that of the original model, a clear indication that sustainable alternatives are as good if not better especially in regards to footwear.
