Digital Mountain is home to some of the finest labels around and one, which began to expand into the global market in 2019, is the Swiss outdoors label, FW.

For Autumn/Winter ‘21, FW has come out with a handful of very sturdy outerwear pieces but one that especially caught our eye was the Root Down Jacket. Designed for optimal insulation during freezing conditions, the Root Down Jacket takes on an iconic silhouette that has been brought up to a modern specification thanks to an abundance of technical materials and conscious design. For example, FW has used 100% recycled down insulation which is a more eco-friendly alternative than traditional down. The jacket itself has been made using a 2-layer light woven shell that boasts hydrophobic qualities, repels moisture and prevents the insulation from moving around which tends to reduce warmth. The Root Down Jacket comes equipped with functional details aplenty including an adjustable and removable storm hood, underarm vents, YKK Vislon main placket, handwarmer pockets and more. Finally, a DWR treating prevents water from beading on the surface.

Available now via Digital Mountain.
