Haroshi and NEXUSVII. Reworks DESCENTE ALLTERRAIN's 'Mountaineer' Jacket
Tapping into the technical expertise of NEXUSVII., Japanese artist, Haroshi, has toyed with one of DESCENTE ALLTERRAIN’s most iconic silhouettes: the Mountaineer Jacket.
Best known for his work crafting sculptures from recycled wooden skateboard decks blending craftsmanship with elements of pop culture, Haroshi looked at taking that one step further by grinding down the powder on the decks and, unsuccessfully, turning it into clay to mould. It wasn’t until 10 years later when Haroshi met with Tomohiro Konno of NEXUSVII. who helped to make this idea a reality and they have now pioneered this technology into the construction of this DESCENTE ALLTERRAIN Mountaineer jacket.
Limited to a mere 80 pieces, the dye from the decks finds its way onto the lining of the hood on the Mountaineer jacket in a number of colours including orange and pink, to name a few. The jacket is made from a polyester shell and features two inward-facing pockets with a seamless appearance. On the interior, you will find a ‘Very Special Edition’ patch as well as ‘Positive Mental Attitude’ printed on top of various colourful layers.
Available now exclusively through NEXUSVII.’s online store.
