AURALEE x New Balance Toyko Design Studio 'R_C2'
AURALEE and New Balance’s Tokyo Design Studio carry on the good form into Spring/Summer ‘21 as they collaborate on the R_C2 model, delivering two distinct colourways.
The collaborative relationship between these two may seem polar opposites, but when they come together, they present a truly unique product that embodies the sensibilities of both. In times gone by, the pair have dabbled in the COMP100 model and they have previously worked on the model in question, the R_C2, which is now front and center for Spring/Summer ‘21, making this their second time exploring this style. While the silhouette of the shoe stays the same, the materials and colouring have been tweaked to encompass GORE-TEX technologies, an ABZORB sole and ENCAP REVEAL, all finished with plush suede and leather panelling throughout. Accompanying the shoes is a packable shopping bag crafted from REPREVE® - a material made from recycled plastic bottles. There are two colourways on offer: one that is clad in deep earthy tones like olive and brown and the other one sports much softer shades of pink.
They are set to release Friday, 19th of March via AURALEE and New Balance Tokyo Design Studio online stores.
