Sage Nation Spring/Summer '22
Off the back of Sage Nation’s debut collaboration with London-retailer, The Garbstore, the brand is now unveiling their Spring/Summer ‘22 lookbook to the delight of many.
Now, having garnered quite the cult following, Sage Nation, commandeered by Sage Toda-Nation, is picking up where they left off from their debut and continuing to build upon the foundations they laid last year. Sage Nation is largely inspired by the designer’s seemingly polarising, yet symbiotic, dual-heritage status of Japanese and British, whilst taking familiar cues from workwear and military garments. With this in mind, a careful balance has been struck between the two cultures and it has become an integral part of the overall design language. For Spring/Summer ‘22, Sage channels the Japanese idea of ‘Power of Five’ as the collection adheres to a selective yet varied colour scheme, a rule mainly found in cuisine that believes a meal should consist of five colours: white, black, red, green and yellow. Signature styles like the Box Pleat Pants and Sage Nation Poncho both appear alongside newer, bolder garments like matching seersucker ensembles.
