meanswhile designer Naohiro Fujisaki continues to approach the concept of “clothes as a tool” with a focus on lightweight, adaptable, yet functional styles in light of the Spring/Summer ‘22 season.

By capturing the garments in motion, meanswhile highlights the comfort and adaptability of their collection. Various shorts styles are the focus of the lookbook, coming in heavy-duty and tuned-down iterations. Navy cargo shorts incorporate larger storage pockets in combination with the baggy drape while minimal athleisure styles focus are double layered with a focus on lux, soft-to-the-touch materials. The outerwear selection continues to shine as one of many hooded parkas features contrasting color blocks on the sleeves and the body while small storage pockets are uniquely placed near the elbow. A cream-colored field jacket and periwinkle military-inspired vest sport four major chest pockets for everyday utility. In a surprising stray from their utilitarian approach, their newest take on the blazer jacket incorporates large button overlays the center zip.
