The North Face Purple Label Spring/Summer '23

Continuing to run with the theme of ‘The Mountain Ivy’, The North Face Purple Label has unveiled its Spring/Summer ‘23 collection.

Commandeered by the functionally-minded folk at nanamica, The North Face Purple Label’s upcoming collection is modelled around two pillars: vintage outdoors wear and Ivy style, two aesthetics that have dominated the Japanese style zeitgeist for decades. As we have seen from previous collections, Purple Label fuses silhouettes adopted from vintage clothing with modern fabric technologies and cuts. In terms of outerwear, we see half-zip technical anoraks sat alongside vintage-inspired mountain parkas, as well as two-tone track tops and utility vests - it is mainly lightweight in nature, given the season. In Purple Label form, bottoms are slouchy in delivery alongside skirts and shorts, fitted with integrated nylon belts for quick adjustment. Tops come inspired by ivy-style with long-sleeved rugby tops and graphic tops bearing collegiate-style fonts.
