Boyagis Launches its Debut Collection '001'
After nearly two years of development and countless sampling to achieve the optimum outcome, Louis Williams’ eponymous label, Boyagis, has released its debut collection ‘001’.
Taking a calculated and conscientious approach to design, Boyagis products combine both functionality and sustainable practices as they strive to source leftover fabrics and natural resources like bamboo on pull tabs, for example. The range consists of three staple silhouettes developed and designed in their studio in St Leonards, East Sussex: the Railway Trousers, Overlap Vest and Smock Jacket. The Railway Trousers are constructed using an organic oil skin cotton fabric and feature an elasticated waistband and an abundance of pockets. Fronting the outerwear offering, the Smock Jacket takes inspiration from a traditional fishing smock and is made using a lightweight, waxed organic ripstop material that boasts a moderate level of shower proofing. Finishing touches come by way of bamboo cord pulls, laser engraved cord stops and an adjustable hood. Lastly, the Overlap Vest is made using a double-layered organic cotton dry oilskin fabric. Each garment is made using organic fabrics and natural, waxed materials that respond to their environment.
The debut range is available now from their online store.
