Salomon and Ciele Athletics Team Up on Two New Running Silhouettes
Salomon has teamed up with the running apparel specialists, Ciele Athletics, to put an eclectic spin on the formers Pulsar Trail Pro and Phantasm styles to give the wearer an added flair on the trails and road.
Both brands involved are known for not shying away from loud colourways, especially with the upper of each shoe covered in Ciele’s distinctive all-over zebra and cheetah animal prints. Taking a closer look at the technical aspects themselves, the Pulsar Trail Pro is a new style from Salomon launching this season and is built with Energy Surge foam into the midsole which creates a springy and comfortable midsole - two essential components when traversing trail networks. In addition, it comes equipped with a TPU composite plate embedded in the midsole which Salomon has dubbed ‘Energy Blade’ which increases efficiency with every strike. Other technical features include a Contagrip outsole with optimised lug geometry and a R.Camber rocker construction. Set on not releasing a typical rain shoe, they have plastered the upper in an all-over zebra print. Much like the aforementioned, the Phantasm incorporates all the same technology but this style is more destined for road settings, so the upper is far lighter whilst being durable and breathable. One difference would be the Energy Blade technology is made using a polyamide and glass fiber that helps the wearer transition from stride to strike. In keeping with the theme, the Phantasm features all-over cheetah print where purple spots sit against a white backdrop.
The shoes are due to release on Thursday, 12th of May from both Salomon and Ciele’s online stores as well as select stockists.
