Seeking beauty in the everyday contrast that surrounds us, Studio Nicholson has unveiled its men’s Spring/Summer ‘23 collection.
As far as contrast goes, it’s hard to look past the opposing sartorial forces at play within Studio Nicholson’s SS ‘23 range, a balancing act between the elegance of early-era Armani and the inner-city culture of New York. In comparison, these two are worlds apart from one another, but, somehow, when you pluck elements from either one the end result is a combination of timeless style and maximum wearability. To mirror the era that the collection is inspired by, there are subtle references to the nonchalance of the late Jean-Michel Basquiat and the gritty, cult-like nature of The warriors. As a result, Studio Nicholson blends the practicality of the inner-city uniform with the soft nature of traditional tailoring, delivering buttery-soft leather blousons, double-pleated bottoms in Studio Nicholson volume and oversized outerwear silhouettes, to name but a few.
